JUNIOR SCHOOL

The Junior School, whilst in the same building, is independent of the Senior School and has its own playground.

The Primary School's friendly, caring atmosphere provides a stimulating environment for both the social and educational development of the children.

The Nursery, or Reception class, caters for children between three and five years of age; there are also two infant classes.
Children learn to work and play with their peers, who come from varied cultural backgrounds
.

The Junior School pupils between the ages of seven to ten years follow the British system of education, based upon the National Curriculum. Subjects studied include Science, Design & Technology, ICT, Spanish, French and Music.

The children are taught in such a way that they would find it easy to adapt to different schools, in the event of them moving to other countries.

A strong emphasis is placed on the well-being  of the children in that they should feel happy and secure in their school environment.

LANGUAGES

Spanish is taught from the age of seven years; French from the last year of the Junior School.
A Special English class is available for non-English speakers when they first come to the school but they
are encouraged to join the regular English class as soon as possible
.
